Driving Creek Railway has been an icon of Coromandel Town for decades. New Zealand's only narrow-gauge mountain railway travels through regenerating native forest with pottery sculptures lining the track. At the top, you can enjoy panoramic views over the Hauraki Gulf.

Barry Brickell, the founder of Driving Creek Railway, sadly passed away 2016. He brought the land back in 1973 in which he planted many natives and chose the land as it had terracotta clay which is suitable for pottery.
